Resident Caregivers


The Caregiver provides general support to the Family in the direct care and development of the children.

Position: Resident Caregiver

Location: Kingston and Montego Bay (Male & Female)

Required education and Experience

  • Educated to Secondary Level;
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience working with children and youth;
  • Certificate in Child Care or Caregiving;
  • Experience in Home Management to include family budgeting;
  • Ability to operate a computer to intermediate level.

 

Knowledge, skills and attributes

  • Knowledge of Child Rights and Protection Act;
  • Comprehensive of child, youth and family development;
  • Knowledge of Positive Parenting techniques promoting child participation;
  • Ability to work as part of a Team;
  • Mental Alertness and Strong Motivation
  • Positive attitude and perseverance;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff;
  • Ability to reside on the village with children in a family setting;
  • Willingness to make long term commitment.
